  :: Thing-a-ma-sling - $65.00 to $75.00 ::

Babywearing is one of the kindest things you can do for your baby - using a sling also makes it easy to transport and breastfeed your baby. Abbie Patterson, a BWB member, has made these slings with the BWB Anso symbol embroidered on them. Every purchase goes to support the work of BWB, as well as Abbie.

THING-A-MA-SLING baby sling's innovative design is unique because it allows for maximum weight distribution providing the utmost comfort for both parent and child.

They are also fashioned with three oversized pockets built right into the sling, supplying plenty of storage for wallet, keys, cell phone, sippy cup, etc. that every parent needs! The tail end of the sling is long and wide enough to provide extra coverage for a nursing mother.

For added convenience, our slings are machine washable and can be dried on gentle settings! You won't find a better, more beautiful baby sling out there! They are easy and fun to use and come with detailed instructions. THING-A-MA-SLING baby slings can be used for children from birth to 35 lbs. THING-A-MA-SLING's are a must-have for every parent!

Available in three fabric choices:

  :: taqua seed necklace - $15.00 ::

Tagua Seed Anso Necklaces - The Anso symbol, which we like here at BWB, is carved into the Tagua seed by Jerry, one of the artists we know on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Jerry chose the Tagua seed to carve the symbol into because of its rich and strong consistency and because the shape of the seed reminded him of a pregnant belly. The Tagua seed has been referred to as "vegetable ivory", and is used as an alternative to elephant ivory. Because each one is hand carved, no one is exactly the same.

Remember, each necklace is unique - styles vary but are all similar.

  :: Chanta Seed Necklace - $15.00 ::

The Walking Palm tree or Socratea exorrhiza, although a strong tropical tree - moves its roots and therefore the whole tree in it's natural attempt to follow the light. This is much like what we do with BWB -- we are moving what may seem to be unmoveable, just because it is in our nature to do it. Wear one of our necklaces as a reminder of the power that can come from just one seed (or person). Oh, Wikipedia claims that the inner part of the stilt roots of this tree is used as a male aphrodisiac - hmmm.

Natalia, an artist and mother from Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica has designed this necklace with the work of BWB as inspiration. These one of a kind, kid and nursing baby friendly necklaces are available for a limited time.
