Grandmothers Circle

Calling All Grandmothers!

"Moving Our Wisdom Into Service That Transforms The Future"

On Feb. 7, 2008, Harrisburg area women gathered to participate with Internationally acclaimed author, photo journalist, and Birth Activist Suzanne Arms to participate in the first Grandmothers Circle for this area. The concept of the Grandmothers Circle was developed by Suzanne Arms and will be nationally launched soon.

What is the purpose of the Grandmothers Circles?

We have incredible gifts to share with each other, our families, our communities and our planet. Our time is now! The Grandmothers Circle is a safe space to share your stories of motherhood, and to provide mentorship to new mothers within the community.

Aunties, Godmothers, & Fairy-godmothers are welcome too. Please check back on our upcoming events section of the homepage for information on the next Grandmothers Circle, or feel free to email us.

Participants will be encouraged to go out into the community to:

- Serve childbearing women & babies with a new consciousness -
- Provide sensitive care that honors pregnant women, new mothers, adoptive mothers, women who've experienced childbearing losses -
- Share valuable information other individuals and groups -
- Consider lobbying for services and benefits for childbearing women -
